7 Landmarks

Uhud Mountain

Mount Uhud, north of Medina, is the pivotal site of the 625 CE Battle of Uhud. It is a revered landmark that the Prophet (PBUH) expressed deep affection for, and it holds the graves of over seventy martyred companions.

Qiblatain Mosque

The Mosque of the Two Qiblas is where the Qibla changed from Jerusalem to the Kaaba. The Prophet (PBUH) made the shift during the ‘Asr prayer after sixteen or seventeen months, a change that marked a distinction from the People of the Book.

Quba

Quba Mosque, the first mosque in Islam, was founded by the Prophet (PBUH) upon his migration to Medina. Its historical and spiritual significance, which includes a reward equal to an Umrah for a single prayer, makes it a major pilgrimage site.

Dar Kulthum

This site marks the historical house of Kulthum ibn al-Hadm (RTA), the Prophet’s (PBUH) first dwelling and place of rest in Quba after his migration to Medina.

Dar Saad

The house of Companion Sa’d ibn Khaythama (RTA) in Quba served as a temporary gathering and prayer place for the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions.

Aris Well

The Well of Aris (Well of the Ring) is famous as the site where the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) ring—a symbol of the Caliphate used by the first three Caliphs—fell from the hand of Uthman ibn Affan (RTA).

The Shaded Orchard

(Athaq Well)

West of Quba Mosque, this is the welcoming spot where the Ansar greeted the Prophet (PBUH) and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (RTA) shaded him from the sun.
